7SINS

The 7 deadly SINS:

"pshh..take my breathe away with your beauty. Im at a loss of word's. Your really hot. An im not just saying that cause that's what your "suposed" to say it. Please. Im better then that an you deserve something unique & qenuine. An im saying it cause you really are really fucking hot. ;D Absolutly gorgeous. I would hate to be one of those people who just put "cute" or something as if they don't care about how you feel. That's really typical an rude of people. I hope you can see how pretty you are the way im seeing it. Also you have the most cutest face i've ever seen! Your beauty is ravishing love You should smile more often i'm sure there is an amazingly cute smile to show off to the world behind that pretty face of your's hun." 7SINS

Random! Uh yeah! Although I love having my ego boosted, this was strangely foreign to me. I DON'T get random guys messaging me on MySpace and telling me what a 'bombshell' my face is. And if they do, I think that they have been seriously hit on the head with a large blunt object (or have took a tumble down the stairs).

I am a firm a believer that beauty is the eye of the beholder, no matter how hard i try to discourage them.

However, as charming as this message is, all I had to do is to scroll down on his main page and find out confessed his inner most 'confessions' to not just me. Makes me think that he has no propriety. See a pretty face, tell her.

THERE IS A LOT MORE TO PEOPLE THAN A PRETTY FACE!! >_<

Nice.

Uh.... but.... it didn't stop me from showing my appreciation of his flattery. He didn't HAVE to 'copy and paste' his 'confession' to me.

Sooooo.... I .... did a portrait.

A small one.

Tiny.

8x10 Acid free Canson paper.

With Prismacolors; 3 of them.

I thanked him for his faux gentlemanly like behavior, told him I liked his music (for I do), and wished him well. What else could I do? *shrugs*
He does have good music and style: 7SINS Music

Been an interesting 24 hours.

Side note: IS IT JANUARY YET?!?!?!! FAK!!

Girls say he's "Gorgeous!"

Zak claims the ladies all love him.

I just think he's a wise soul stuck in a teenage body. With teenage-like desires....

Prismacolor pencil with, yet again, no eraser. AMEN!! I am starting to like this slow, yet wonderful process.

Portrait practice

Both done in those new-ish Prismacolor crayon(wax) sticks. Different medium to maneuver, cause it's a stick. The pencil has a lot more control and finer edges.

Both pages are 11x15.

Thanks to Eric Ross for being my inspiration/reference!

Samhain Studies and Sketches

I have been doing some studies of day of the dead traditions of multiple cultures and slipped in some witchcraft studies and some vampire loving too. I was sketching in between videos and websites on my findings. Hurray! I was interested in Dia de los Muertos and wanted to see if my culture (Irish) had their own 'day of the dead'. Turns out we have a ancient tradition predating the Romans. Apparently Samhain is what Halloween was in it's pre-christian dates. Go Celts!! And Pagans! And I guess.... the Holy Roman See. Most of all: yay Halloween!!!

I'm glad that we can (in most cultures) can celebrate the souls that have past on and remember them in reverence and respect. Life is full of surprises, why not Death being the next big surprise?

Halloween 2009

I broke from my usual vampire I have claimed as my traditional Halloween costume for years to go....ZOMBIE! I it was a mess and twice the success. It was my first zombie costume ever!! It was a collection of chocolate syrup, corn starch, red food coloring, acrylic paint, horrible quality liquid latex, and my trusty blue contact lenses. Oh yeah...and hairspray.

I got rave reviews and a lot of people DID NOT recognize me. I had a load of fun, so much I hit up two parties in one night! Ha!

Yay Melissa for keeping my company whilst I got ready for the big night!

This picture is from my 'test run' for my fake blood. The effects are great and I had the teeth lying around from last season. Good and scary!! Ooooo...

Changing...

Things are changing, I just hope I can keep up.

I drew this about a month ago, I just never posted it, cause I was involved. Now I am here again...reality takes a little getting used to it when you have been out of it for a while.

I hate being sick....

Nicholas Part 2

Last night Ted was nice enough to let me harass him in his own home. So I drew his lovely fuzzy face.

And I added more to the painting of Nick. It's almost done. Yay!

Jackie

Thanks Nick for the avid manipulation to do a portrait of your sexy drunk boyfriend.

Portrait is Jackie Mitchell. And I want to go to Canon Beach in Oregon. Dammit.

Endless episodes of Daria helped this drawing...

Oh yeah... Jackie sings too: http://www.myspace.com/jackiemitchellmusic

Witchblade and work

Done at work. Kinda looks like she is floating on a guitar pick....whatever. It just happened I guess....

I liked his face... he worked on the AC for our building. Plugs that huge look awful when you are older. Sagging ear lobes....ewwww.

William - Revisited

So I was going through some of my favorite faces and I passed on Will's. He's got to be the cutest Asian with a neck so gorgeous, I would marry it. So I decided to take another go, and it turned out to be a lot better than I thought it was going to look like. Yay!

Thank God.

P.S. SDCC was awesome... if you want to know the gory details, just ask.

The Epic Battle for Sunglasses

Vintage baby!!! HA!!! Alright, I fought tooth and nail for vintage glasses. Apparently 'vintage' is back 'in' according to the fashion mags. Whoopeee...big fuckin' deal. What is the big deal is getting them on eBay without a epic bidding battle. I have been searching for (and becoming addicted too) vintage designer branded everything. Mostly accessories.

My reason for my new found madness: if it's made in France, Italy and Germany(New York too) and has last for 30 years already in awesome condition; it's probably going last another 30 years. Everything made now these days is disposable. Break it buy and new one. I like keeping my cell phone and a good pair of jeans for more than two years. It's not that hard to treat something with respect and have it last a looooong time. Simple! That's why the designer madeness. So... I did my research and found out which fashion houses were doing the best of the best at the time: Yves Saint Laurent, Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, Cazal, Emilio Pucci, Ted Lapidus, and of course, Dior.

The main object (designer) of my desire was Christian Dior and still is. Vintage Dior glasses are harder to find and GET than an authentic Louis Vuitton bag on eBay. Period. I am still looking for Dior glasses.
These adorable glasses are Givenchy. Wonderfully made, couture in the 1970's, fabulous and fun. I also have another set coming by Victor St Hughes from Buenoes Aires. Diors will come... I have no doubt, I will just have to be patient. And it's probably worth the wait!! I would loose by mere seconds in the bidding battle to then, full of rage: one thing I hate more than stupid people is loosing!! I hate to and am a sore looser. That's why I do not play video games. I like being a winner, and being right. Over the years I have become more mellow in this area and will admit my loss with dignity and poise. Inside I am am still kicking and screaming like a little kid, thinking on how I could have made better choices and in the end...would have won. Fak.

Women play dirty online (and behind your back), and one has to be stupid to pay a ridiculous amount of money for the chance to 'win'. Or the true winners can wait, bid, and pray like hell, to own that special piece of fashion history without burning a hole in the pocket or just setting the pocket on fire.

What an experience on being (becoming) a woman.

The fight for the "sunglasses" are actually the inspiration for the FASHION FIENDS.

I just can't wait till they declare Goth in style...it's coming soon. Just wait for it.
