I LOVE WINE! I am training for my Level 1 Sommelier exam in August and I have decided to create a new Instagram account - RemyDrinkStuff. Follow me. I love geeking out/reviewing wines, and thus far, they have all been affordable and approachable. <br />
<br />
I also have an Instagram account for my art - RemyDrawStuff. Oh, and occassionally I post pictures of my cats.<br />
<br />
And here's a random and yet LARGE drawing of Abe Sapien from Mignola's B.P.R.D. If you have never sat down and read through Hellboy and the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense comics, I highly suggest/recommend it. Especially if your a fan of folklore and historical fiction. I love that stuff, and when ever I can indulge in some creative conspiracy theories and history that "could have been", I don't hesitate.<br />
Mike Mignola, Guillermo Del Toro, and Christopher Golden never let me down. <br />

<br />
I have been working on this project for a little while and now I can announce it: I did the book cover for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/The-Lost-Gods-Horace-Brickley-ebook/dp/B00JIG1MTK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1397243686&sr=8-5&keywords=the+lost+gods">The Lost Gods </a>by <a href="http://horacebrickley.com/">Horace Brickley</a> .<br />
<br />
He wanted a cover with zombies, and I decided to play around with the idea of a wrap around cover. He loved it and it took off from there. He asked me to put all the 'dead' in their burial clothes, and as the project was coming close to it's due date, I had forgotten about the request and drew an Sikh in a turban. The 'sweater vest' is usually not what they are buried in, so I had to take him out. In the book cover, he's not in there, but in the original drawing he's there next to the Maori lady. I tried to vary all the Zombies, a Grecian woman, a Gascon Marque, a modern man in a suit, a Catholic priest, a Mexican señorita, an old 1920's lady with her fox fur wrap, a Pharaoh, a WWII African American nurse (cause I love how they fought the bigots in order to serve their country), a Victorian lady, and yes, even a Nazi officer. <br />
<br />
The original art is huge: I taped 3, 8.5 x 11in, sheets of bristol together and did the line up in sections. Then I scanned and reduced the image, finishing the rest in Photoshop. The author liked it, and so did I. <br />

<b>This is a self published book</b>. Please support my work (and the author): <b>Buy the paperback or download the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Gods-Horace-Brickley-ebook/dp/B00JIG1MTK/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1397247002&sr=1-1&keywords=the+lost+gods">Kindle version</a></b>, we need all the help we can get. It helps that it's a good book too. I read it twice, and cried each time. I love Brickley's work; good, strong characters, a solid plot, zombies *swoon* and a lot of action. Thanks in advance for your support, it means a lot, and hopefully in the future I'll get more gigs like these.<br />
<br />
Cheers and happy reading!<br />

When you meet someone and are aware of their life style, getting into the relationship is like an agreement to accept them for who they are and to accept a certain lifestyle. I decided to date a musician: a fiddle player. A very intelligent fiddle player. I knew that there would be tours and periods of him being away and I accepted them and dealt with the alone periods with grace. When it comes down to it, I am very loyal and patient, however my patience only last so long. When he is here and barely has time for me, especially during the holidays (that's when I need the most emotional support), and he has to lightly pencil me in, that's when I know that it's 'time'. I realized that it would be best to support him and his goals as a friend (and maybe take another shot at the relationship later), instead of his neglected and angry girlfriend.<br /><br />It would be more effective that way; he would stay in my life and I have the understanding that when things calm down (if they ever) that I could be there too. If not, friendship is the first thing you need to start any successful relationship even if there no 'relationship' to graduate upon. I took a step down from a position to metaphorically take a step up. The sadness will subside, and life will go on. Is it better than crying alone at night even though you 'have' a boyfriend? I'm not sure. I guess time will tell. I still care for him deeply, and might have been falling in love with him, but I know I can love him more this way, unconditionally. That's what true friendship is ...unconditional.<br /><br />2 relationships in one year? Fun. Please God, can I have one that last more than a year. Please? <br /><br />I just want to love someone, and be loved in return.Riahna "REMY" Malayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01279921654038619311noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700924428680859172.post-25286562484933417762011-12-20T15:33:00.001-08:002011-12-20T16:06:35.340-08:00Tattoos, Sanity, & Mysterious UniverseI have international pen-pals. Old fashioned, written letters, postal stamped pen-pals. I had an interesting opportunity to be a hostess to Scotland. We have been communicating for some time and he asked if he could stay for a few days at my place and see California. I agreed and he also asked me what I wanted for Christmas, which took some time in deciding, cause I can't seem to make up my mind of what I want (literally and figuratively). <br /><br />For my birthday he sent me a Manchester United mug, the giant sized one that you could drown in, and an ManU ceramic money bank in the shape of a football. I was dancing for a week! Not only is that stuff kind of pricy but it was shipped internationally. In gratitude, I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He replied with a couple of tattoo designs and a tattoo shop to do them in since he would be spending his birthday over in the States. This is one he got first: It's a Scottish flag within the batman symbol.<br /><br /><a href="http://pisopez.com/">Joel MacDonald</a> at <a href="http://blackbanditz.com/">Black Banditz Tattoo</a> off of Melrose (in LA) did the fine work. If you ever thinking about getting a tattoo in the LA/Hollywood area, give him a shout. He has done two tattoo's for me and a couple more for my friends. He's very talented and customer service oriented, aka:<br />He cares for your tattoo as much as you do!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkFERCbWE-ySnc3KWHy3am_Lb5wlJHpAK2Tb-IiXRDhh8sBLZdey_BOBhO-gnlWT6zBwopi-8CUJVIo_2urf5loPQ3mOyh3vtlxF31N5d2Uyvt8ZSc7DO1SAF8ZvjVNpsp-l0AZP869ZqI/s1600/Saltire+Tattoo+Progress.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 172px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkFERCbWE-ySnc3KWHy3am_Lb5wlJHpAK2Tb-IiXRDhh8sBLZdey_BOBhO-gnlWT6zBwopi-8CUJVIo_2urf5loPQ3mOyh3vtlxF31N5d2Uyvt8ZSc7DO1SAF8ZvjVNpsp-l0AZP869ZqI/s400/Saltire+Tattoo+Progress.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688358220741967010" border="0" /></a><br />___________________<br /><br />So, being a hostess was an interesting experience. I learned that I need more money if I am going to tour someone around LA county, and that I will never ever put any guess in my studio for an extended amount of time. EVER! I think my sanity was starting to rip apart not being close to my art, computer, and books. I also learned that I am more of a solitary person. I like being social, but for 15 days straight with my roommate and a guest in the house?? No. <br />Like I said, a learning lesson. Oh yeah! I forgot! I am painting the bathroom from hell. My roommate requested a certain faux-finish technique that (in my head) was easy. Stripes on a wall. Simple right? Measure out where you will be painting said stripes, tape off the desired area (so it forms a straight line), paint taped area, pull off tape, touch up some areas where paint has leaked through (cause it always happens) and CELEBRATE. NO... It's been one fuckin' nightmare after another. Each time I pull the tape of, the rest of the wall comes off with the tape. In other words I AM DOING DOUBLE THE WORK!!! And not for my bathroom... SOMEONE ELSES!!! AND FOR FREEE!!!!! *angry face*<br /><br />As soon as I finish, I will show pictures. But right now... I dont want to deal with it. Not until 2012. <br />___________________________________<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiugDOl9xB9DdhVRecgmZxi0UL3cXGi3bz1rPNFB-llhJO52kjMjwP1klWckqvOwPfbG9k2e2TUGTf-iGmWlc-P0aWlxAd0fkn19EqmpxVLCCyLSQ4KBaPMZGEOYDIant11QC3bKSuDUp2x/s1600/16195_logo.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 113px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiugDOl9xB9DdhVRecgmZxi0UL3cXGi3bz1rPNFB-llhJO52kjMjwP1klWckqvOwPfbG9k2e2TUGTf-iGmWlc-P0aWlxAd0fkn19EqmpxVLCCyLSQ4KBaPMZGEOYDIant11QC3bKSuDUp2x/s400/16195_logo.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688357868447657938" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span><span>I want to thank <a href="http://mysteriousuniverse.org/">Mysterious Universe Podcast.</a></span></span><br /><br />Without Benjamin Grundy and Aaron Wright, I'd honestly have a shittier year than I did. I had some interesting things happen to me this year, including a non existing relationship break up, a back injury, a new relationship, and more hours at work...and my car got stolen. So, yeah, a lot of things.<br /><br />I thought I'd post some of the sketches and well rendered works out of this new sketchbook which I received as a gift (thank you Dave Morris). This recent sketchbook is a blend of what I think is recycled paper. I get to use pens, white gel pens, white Prismacolor pencils, Copic/Tombow markers and a full range of Prismacolor pencils. Graphite doesn't really show up on this kind of paper dude to the stronger color of the paper, and in the end demands for high contrast colors. I have a mix of all mediums below and as you might see my subject matter is starting to darken a bit.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxnVjahbFySCCXL4wp_O6S-bFU_6HC4kMw020eMOE-FAL225vrBj5tdeeWDDNJEOA5SH87Aq_PJTBN4QnFinOGmknIXnyUi8WXj9G82L4oe0qeJfRJPhzHpVyKTlb-hrFGrzRkww9uVyqS/s1600/Ghastly+Ones+2.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 282px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxnVjahbFySCCXL4wp_O6S-bFU_6HC4kMw020eMOE-FAL225vrBj5tdeeWDDNJEOA5SH87Aq_PJTBN4QnFinOGmknIXnyUi8WXj9G82L4oe0qeJfRJPhzHpVyKTlb-hrFGrzRkww9uVyqS/s400/Ghastly+Ones+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688355358317932642" border="0" /></a><br />Copic marker and white Prisma pencil.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7jGj7d2bCBCjMzx2S9Q_fFceoMRQXx_rRQak3SljKZhwp8IZJwlk20uCOkWH8rljpplr6jw9MlV7rNYR-qystv9ntiiwInMGEgi93fCY-bCgc4_R6B2E8vCylZgyrbZuavmZz1z8P_Qxm/s1600/Paisley+Demons+-+small.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 303px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7jGj7d2bCBCjMzx2S9Q_fFceoMRQXx_rRQak3SljKZhwp8IZJwlk20uCOkWH8rljpplr6jw9MlV7rNYR-qystv9ntiiwInMGEgi93fCY-bCgc4_R6B2E8vCylZgyrbZuavmZz1z8P_Qxm/s400/Paisley+Demons+-+small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688354659162712818" border="0" /></a><br />Graphite.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIPQ4qHry852Drp8srDJBLilUSVS780RpTAS4Utwd6SCXpXuKXd8iwv79jjuvDtNQCaUOnXMBf7baDRo5Mx43NamrscK8pjt9-EbmDMGPR6VRo_-e51Ks6nriJ0W36EdvwMPVVgI18giTe/s1600/Pink+Hair.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 285px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIPQ4qHry852Drp8srDJBLilUSVS780RpTAS4Utwd6SCXpXuKXd8iwv79jjuvDtNQCaUOnXMBf7baDRo5Mx43NamrscK8pjt9-EbmDMGPR6VRo_-e51Ks6nriJ0W36EdvwMPVVgI18giTe/s400/Pink+Hair.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688354662175558434" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7jGj7d2bCBCjMzx2S9Q_fFceoMRQXx_rRQak3SljKZhwp8IZJwlk20uCOkWH8rljpplr6jw9MlV7rNYR-qystv9ntiiwInMGEgi93fCY-bCgc4_R6B2E8vCylZgyrbZuavmZz1z8P_Qxm/s1600/Paisley+Demons+-+small.jpg"></a>Prismacolor pencils.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyzkUaSRZiH0qePSxGRnPPGG_iPvIWHF7g0XZ-z8ZPW18NDSyYv7jZI-ltLumakWfXhrxRqv3IKenjFt3GJ9Stpl0vlss9ndKvZGv2XoMEQ4RL-wANHNgQH8G-SjgbT4zkmRTiP_hahmxS/s1600/Ghastly+One+small.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 291px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyzkUaSRZiH0qePSxGRnPPGG_iPvIWHF7g0XZ-z8ZPW18NDSyYv7jZI-ltLumakWfXhrxRqv3IKenjFt3GJ9Stpl0vlss9ndKvZGv2XoMEQ4RL-wANHNgQH8G-SjgbT4zkmRTiP_hahmxS/s400/Ghastly+One+small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688354664166017666" border="0" /></a><br />Graphite.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB15-dMV8UEOGiTKMdTNb6oCuBqvhQ245L_ncHacCYpeqhDsDeYbBWE0-sYE7izf6sUZeEzij67Fw07Vjx2e5Pw8VHZ3ykkYmQSoGEcjaJ-ddAJbWFpWq9znRgQ5y9v4rkelDxgh5DxWiU/s1600/Ghastly+Ones+2.jpg"></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaQ2Ngg0yiVtox7e6WfWAdtr2sjKHeX8Qw8q5MMgitRXKgfImvA8zXkDfefYCBOE4mBAYlpc8GuchfyGMdmf3ZzcwsMbHsgbMsdKCWjDCILK1IeJoiHVz5VcXEwEGuaBUUrUHc0O1WqVOd/s1600/Alien+Woman.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 281px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaQ2Ngg0yiVtox7e6WfWAdtr2sjKHeX8Qw8q5MMgitRXKgfImvA8zXkDfefYCBOE4mBAYlpc8GuchfyGMdmf3ZzcwsMbHsgbMsdKCWjDCILK1IeJoiHVz5VcXEwEGuaBUUrUHc0O1WqVOd/s400/Alien+Woman.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688354668170024098" border="0" /></a><br />Prismacolor pencils.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2zzrnMFtckYHiOwe9_nIGK2pXiyVQgKcj4fD9ELxK2csvqmw8QKXCBIXeJ8O6Alzbu7pa0FC8NKaKV3j2JeXhYEJKEb9Gzou3XuktAzBR4v0g1a-ZuE7Nllc9MiqvpcbTVSQtYmoP0mAk/s1600/Green+Girl.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 333px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2zzrnMFtckYHiOwe9_nIGK2pXiyVQgKcj4fD9ELxK2csvqmw8QKXCBIXeJ8O6Alzbu7pa0FC8NKaKV3j2JeXhYEJKEb9Gzou3XuktAzBR4v0g1a-ZuE7Nllc9MiqvpcbTVSQtYmoP0mAk/s400/Green+Girl.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688355362261739890" border="0" /></a><br />Prismacolor pencils with a wax blender.<br /><br />_______________________________<br /><br />Another thing I have been becoming familiar with is Gouache. I have been playing with washes with Winsor & Newton's Ivory Black. These paintings (if you can call a wash/sketch a painting) are just to get me familiar with layering the paint and almost sketching with another medium. I have done some earlier pieces with gouache, but I really want to improve my skill with a brush when it comes to detailed oriented work. <br />The Witchblade. Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, a white gel pen and some Photoshop magic.
<br />
<br />I was studying some snakes and decided to add one into a piece. The Witchblade is always a go to character for me when I can't find anything else to draw... I decided to use a new technique though. It worked!! I needed to do my own artwork for a change after wrapping up all these commissions. I like the money, but I like my artistic freedom too. Someday, I will have both.
<br />

Has anyone heard the new Daft Punk Tron Legacy - Reconfigured Soundtrack? Holy crap! It's amazing!! I like the Ki:Theory mixes. If you go to their website, you can download a remix of songs they did for the OST for free: <a href="http://kitheory.com/">kitheory.com</a><br />I was not too excited about the original Ton Legacy OST from Daft Punk, due to the fact that I am used to their music being a bit faster in tempo. This new Reconfigured OST is just what I was hoping that Daft Punk would produce. I'm excited and it's producing a lot of creative neurons firing to and from the lobes. Tré awesome!<br /><br />Enjoy the art and the future music...<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq0OYXG7QY6q93XlVJXBfNVGt0rr9HM9zqKGc4ac5116SySmevuwqMGdnNCyhLgbeBusHnz94kd5OJn0DWSO_R1bELnND7znz55cVqAN0TNrxxYSbKqGY9jzXkUmejrns8Fzk1Cuhbiwe7/s1600/Sketch+62811.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 333px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq0OYXG7QY6q93XlVJXBfNVGt0rr9HM9zqKGc4ac5116SySmevuwqMGdnNCyhLgbeBusHnz94kd5OJn0DWSO_R1bELnND7znz55cVqAN0TNrxxYSbKqGY9jzXkUmejrns8Fzk1Cuhbiwe7/s400/Sketch+62811.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5623733403516123922" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpbw-nKItVWrNfQqd9lYisstVWnIVLyqR1_3HWpTX75kFeuGCtAfHZuG6q9JsJn7kDlmfEeDkbhfh_XbE3sne2hQ6ENUCT0TKw2nCdZhK4qcA6qmkbXbQSl2vrRrCT_cUHkwt6HeszArmr/s1600/Sketch+62911.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 339px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpbw-nKItVWrNfQqd9lYisstVWnIVLyqR1_3HWpTX75kFeuGCtAfHZuG6q9JsJn7kDlmfEeDkbhfh_XbE3sne2hQ6ENUCT0TKw2nCdZhK4qcA6qmkbXbQSl2vrRrCT_cUHkwt6HeszArmr/s400/Sketch+62911.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5623768781481640322" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjavxTlkNrSPLJagBd62RSQAf-E815E3vtqgtRALkUOVv2SfjunDI98WBZr7QixvzimdrrfWP6Axk58NvHg7hTj4BFrH3jzc3hOqBdgRtz1IGO8_EqCIRH__YBjWRhZmHR_GMU0bWQAd5OI/s1600/Sketch+62911.jpg"><br /></a>Riahna "REMY" Malayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01279921654038619311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700924428680859172.post-31270481783839701782011-06-21T13:35:00.000-07:002011-06-21T13:46:23.055-07:00Edgar Allen Poe<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOpwo7dWGgSLMZXbaHj4LwTfjDHdJvTKnuOZ8rCFOjRr_f11cTXDuekLv1Z5BYB-1iz2jh_0u4l0EJXntv6KmCinlDO_llPrf_eK32WN3y41hGmgiYm7RJ1Tdy8-NOenspOxiF_tYdLkg9/s1600/Poe+Tattoo+Commission.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 291px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOpwo7dWGgSLMZXbaHj4LwTfjDHdJvTKnuOZ8rCFOjRr_f11cTXDuekLv1Z5BYB-1iz2jh_0u4l0EJXntv6KmCinlDO_llPrf_eK32WN3y41hGmgiYm7RJ1Tdy8-NOenspOxiF_tYdLkg9/s400/Poe+Tattoo+Commission.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620777191526821922" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />Not for sale. I've been watching a lot of Manchester United games, posting the occasional Facebook status, and accumulating a lot of international pen pals (and some local ones too, but they've been friends I've had then decided to write to them). I've got Australia, England, Scotland, and Germany. It's really fun to pick up the pen and just write things out. It's a dying art, and you know how much I love art, I'm keeping my art alive as much as I can. I have been doing a lot of envelope art for my pen pals. Little things drawn on the envelopes along with the stamps, the address and the 'Par Avion' stickers.<br /><br />Here's the occasional sketches I have been working on...<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn9kj0sAwVG_S2_LiIVlEmdzRrCjHKo3OyO4YBmYk_e-VfB0O10YLpl3nIGBy7ud3PusUq-2Pb5Yk7LJPo49ZeYfsrSfGy8XVpWmtZazC2y7hp7DQNVNjaBrb8gnnAjDQmdQOqbMgEQqfu/s1600/Picture+007.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn9kj0sAwVG_S2_LiIVlEmdzRrCjHKo3OyO4YBmYk_e-VfB0O10YLpl3nIGBy7ud3PusUq-2Pb5Yk7LJPo49ZeYfsrSfGy8XVpWmtZazC2y7hp7DQNVNjaBrb8gnnAjDQmdQOqbMgEQqfu/s320/Picture+007.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584404367782138034" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipuEZ-pzj6_8zzaUdNshUEL0YorYPw0DwPgEPA1R0jSb8E9RhBohDExc04IQIR8HcnKk47l9zU2COMrvRItAGh5wvPXOoMqzRgkaOQjV8NTYocPqJFJPkRsFIqkvmrlnt4oV0Hs1S8T0xb/s1600/Picture+011.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipuEZ-pzj6_8zzaUdNshUEL0YorYPw0DwPgEPA1R0jSb8E9RhBohDExc04IQIR8HcnKk47l9zU2COMrvRItAGh5wvPXOoMqzRgkaOQjV8NTYocPqJFJPkRsFIqkvmrlnt4oV0Hs1S8T0xb/s320/Picture+011.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584406752854507458" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxyOOrq1vDDYr6ElIOZHVKIzEyu4sONWjjLisx36nFGbVoSOfaQSiuGqfI_UFhnOs_uGtqpYk6o2dCT3vO3biJoCSAa1Gh88gQ16mnJIXPeJqkvS4MJOn9fp05AMXPXsxvIb4dNy3Zl9af/s1600/Picture+042.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxyOOrq1vDDYr6ElIOZHVKIzEyu4sONWjjLisx36nFGbVoSOfaQSiuGqfI_UFhnOs_uGtqpYk6o2dCT3vO3biJoCSAa1Gh88gQ16mnJIXPeJqkvS4MJOn9fp05AMXPXsxvIb4dNy3Zl9af/s320/Picture+042.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584404370485031330" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQdr7GP7KQf8rZFPfN67GZSYyBU_lcVo79DDyCe4hxIh_3NnuyxfwCrQaZpLASXo9GRzXZLPZRH9HvpzIp52ZTsTD8pSM4vs3iDYE4VLL0kSK-jqU7CT081E_a4kpjVcpy4rWMpXougWMV/s1600/Picture+046.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQdr7GP7KQf8rZFPfN67GZSYyBU_lcVo79DDyCe4hxIh_3NnuyxfwCrQaZpLASXo9GRzXZLPZRH9HvpzIp52ZTsTD8pSM4vs3iDYE4VLL0kSK-jqU7CT081E_a4kpjVcpy4rWMpXougWMV/s320/Picture+046.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584406760557828242" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidnV3ExV7dbl9lZCoQaLsfdCDkeDvjf_3ppELUqZevi4TyzbLdmeR2ZZzniHfRvNUPiD3LtasHfREYDQY9Ih6PTix3di3EGJqGQ36AjCU_uVJCOiwowUJZatTNSdkh3Fwmk_ufPDamb4_x/s1600/North+Carolina+011.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidnV3ExV7dbl9lZCoQaLsfdCDkeDvjf_3ppELUqZevi4TyzbLdmeR2ZZzniHfRvNUPiD3LtasHfREYDQY9Ih6PTix3di3EGJqGQ36AjCU_uVJCOiwowUJZatTNSdkh3Fwmk_ufPDamb4_x/s320/North+Carolina+011.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584404364900830290" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFJm7WG6xzZue5GT77l77Aimf2_ePTnhLJlra3Wfd-GDGMyjwe6A0yvymvCsUDgufhKXyDHfohJjY2TYX3lG-zImFcrgcxe5GbHCYZ49hNJNZua8Z6rp0RxnREPczWB_fJ_NSdXrRNZnY_/s1600/photo+1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFJm7WG6xzZue5GT77l77Aimf2_ePTnhLJlra3Wfd-GDGMyjwe6A0yvymvCsUDgufhKXyDHfohJjY2TYX3lG-zImFcrgcxe5GbHCYZ49hNJNZua8Z6rp0RxnREPczWB_fJ_NSdXrRNZnY_/s320/photo+1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584406190228899202" border="0" /></a>Riahna "REMY" Malayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01279921654038619311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700924428680859172.post-40214654364045764232010-11-19T20:01:00.000-08:002010-11-19T20:08:42.421-08:00I dream in MiduryanI had a dream of my co-worker. Much more than many other artist which I am so fond of. I sadly like his live stuff more than his albums. The recordings don't do him justice, they are over-produced and they don't have his 'soul' in the music (his live stuff does). I blame my emo room mate. I would have NEVER gone to his show in my life until I had to fill in for a recent vacant ticket which my room mate got stuck with. I was dragging my feet all the way to the first concert. Now I'm running to the concert tix! I am going to the fourth show in Febuary 2011. <br /><br />I would really like to do some t-shirt designs or do one of his album covers! Really! And since it's October, the spooky feeling in the air makes me crave more Filth; Dani Filth that is. I have this need to listen to a lot of Cradle of Filth around this time, along with Danzig and my new favourite Dimmu Borgir. It's something in the air, cause I did this last year as well. I have been always wanting to a portrait of Dani Filth since 2000 and now 10 years later I finally sat down and took the time to do a decent sketch. I'll probably end up doing a painting (digital or traditional) soon, for the new album is coming up. I know I'll be so enamored for the album that I'll go to my studio and spend endless hours mulling over my work and maybe enjoying mulled wine (the holidays are here). All Hallows is just 9 days away! Excited!<br /><br />I thought I would add a process shot to this to show the during and finished. <br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1DRS390fcBTyw7JTS2PmICUhmo46GYMlMFeMtQjD-IT6lDAuW4CrctSkdJZcqwHqch_vbRwOgMv-A_xW0wOUBe6HGujFn4jJocphOl0W7gmCROb9-3c67anJGWXSrkTfTst-tAUJDrpy0/s1600/IMG_0711.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1DRS390fcBTyw7JTS2PmICUhmo46GYMlMFeMtQjD-IT6lDAuW4CrctSkdJZcqwHqch_vbRwOgMv-A_xW0wOUBe6HGujFn4jJocphOl0W7gmCROb9-3c67anJGWXSrkTfTst-tAUJDrpy0/s400/IMG_0711.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530980729569512530" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I need to go to the UK or Norway and find me a metal man, who studies the worlds teachings (old and new). It's like a twacked out Tim Burton influenced Dani. He's missing the usual black and white stripes, but it's got to be the hair with the combination of the outfits. I miss the long hair, but it will grow. I wonder who does his wardrobe or has a large inspiration for each theme he portrays on stage.<br /><br />Happy 'soon-to-be' Hallows!Riahna "REMY" Malayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01279921654038619311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700924428680859172.post-30335109606404058902010-10-16T11:27:00.000-07:002010-10-16T11:32:46.192-07:00The Siren's CallAnother tattoo commission! This drawing is very much influenced by Joel MacDonald. His stuff incorporates a lot foreign elements and it's smoothly put together like it was meant to be all along. Idunno how he does it effortlessly, but it looks damn good!Riahna "REMY" Malayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01279921654038619311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700924428680859172.post-60534687960595394742010-10-12T13:25:00.000-07:002010-10-12T13:30:00.532-07:00Avatar: The Last Airbender Group Sketch<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4i_8PdadQEuUia4RiNYt6V9B7cXnI5yCuQs6mhd4nKTfgc3EbOdwAXlN1ukOqzPE9stw3v3PRphnS-Mu3rsLtLOlnvWw7DTsnfNKLHe23UYkWYCae-bXiozClPMzGG5QmpA9QY1vVouX/s1600/Avatar+Group.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 298px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4i_8PdadQEuUia4RiNYt6V9B7cXnI5yCuQs6mhd4nKTfgc3EbOdwAXlN1ukOqzPE9stw3v3PRphnS-Mu3rsLtLOlnvWw7DTsnfNKLHe23UYkWYCae-bXiozClPMzGG5QmpA9QY1vVouX/s400/Avatar+Group.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5527258862743547570" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Done in March 2010 and I still LOVE it!!<br />And Boooo!! to James Cameron for naming his movie Avatar...
